Quitting coffee: it's not the answer

By Tim Linnet, founder of Linnet Biopharmaceuticals

When I saw the results of the the SUN project, I just couldn’t believe what I was reading. This clinical study over the span of 10 years was spread across 20,000 people and the results are amazing! I'll put a link at the bottom of this page. The study was presented at the European Society of Cardiology where they suggested that coffee should be part of a healthy diet in healthy people.

64% Decrease in Chance-of-Death

The conclusion that there was a 64% decrease in chance-of-death is astounding. Never before has a caffeine or coffee study shown such a broad impact to people’s daily lives.

What they proved is that participants who consumed at least four cups of coffee per day had a 64% lower risk of all-cause-mortality than those who never or almost never consumed caffeine. It is amazing to find in the reporting that there was a 22% lower risk of death for each two additional cups of coffee per day and in those who were at least 45 years old: the risk of mortality was 30% less.

Maybe this goes without saying, but this is such a simple behavior for such an extreme reward. If two 70 year old gentlemen are friends, and one drinks four cups of coffee per day, while the other drinks very little, the first has a 64% lower risk of dying than the other.  The chances of him making it into his nineties would also be much higher if he kept up the coffee habit.

Ten years ago I worked with several other Doctors of Pharmacy to solve the caffeine problem. We were working to protect the sleep of heavy coffee drinkers, to promote daily health while allowing people to have their caffeine “vice” (since let’s face it, no one actually wants to give up coffee). Well, it turns out it wasn’t a negative vice after all!  This coffee study from Spain should get the attention of the best educated health professionals in society. It’s a game changer.

naturally occurring ingredient that tells your body to clear caffeine more quickly at night

When we were designing our sleep aid “Daily-DeCaffeinate” we wanted to create something that did not have the addictive or powerful sedative properties of the existing choices for sleep on the market.  Our California University research supported the use of a naturally occurring ingredient that tells your body to clear caffeine more quickly at night, without needing to quit coffee during the day.

I am now very encouraged that after hundreds of years of coffee intake, we’ve proven it's extreme benefits. One of the only downsides of your coffee intake is the lower quality of sleep and rest. Now our supplement inventions can offset that downside so everyone can continue guilt-free coffee drinking.

Larga vida de café!

These natural sleep aids were created by Tim Linnet and his team. They improve your body's breakdown of caffeine, which results in more control over when you want caffeine to help you. We recommend trying a cup of coffee much later in the day than normal - and then follow it with an evening dose of Daily De-Caffeinate.

How it works

Our formulas were developed from the Evodia fruit (left) in the USA by a pharmacist team in partnership with Pacific University.

Caffeine is already naturally broken down by enzymes in your body. Different fruits and vegetables can increase or decrease the activity of these enzymes. This happens in your body every day.

Our products de-caffeinate your body by increasing the rate of caffeine breakdown in your body.
